Black Professionals @ the Hunter

Chattanooga’s Black professionals are invited to a celebration of community, culture, and connections. This free bimonthly series is designed by and created for all area Black professionals.

The month we’ll be honoring the memory and legacy of BP@TH founder and community leader BettyeLynn Smith.

Explore art from our newest exhibition Free as they want to be: Artists Committed to Memory and enjoy performances by C-Grimey, Erika Roberts, DJ Prophet, and pianist Toke the Poet plus food Party Bites and a cash bar in the lobby.

We’ll also inaugurate a career and opportunities component led by Unum and the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.

To continue the BP@TH vibe after the event, guests are invited to attend an “after-hours" gathering; details and location to be announced at BP@TH.

There is limited parking available at the museum and on adjacent streets. Guests are encouraged to consider Uber or another ride-share service.

Free as they want to be: Artists Committed to Memory is curated by Cheryl Finley, Ph.D., and Deborah Willis, Ph.D., and originated as a FotoFocus exhibition at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, on the occasion of the 2022 FotoFocus Biennial. The traveling exhibition is organized by Curatorial Exhibitions, Pasadena, California.
