Becoming a member of the Hunter Museum of American Art is your annual pass to see an amazing collection of American Art and learn what it means to be American in the 21st century. As a member, your calendar will be filled with fun, informative, and unique events for art lovers of all ages, and you will have access not only to the museum’s permanent collection galleries, but also all of the special exhibitions the Hunter brings to Chattanooga each year.

Your support of the Hunter allows us to bring art, education, and community engagement programs to tens of thousands of visitors each year. Whether you are interested in volunteering, monetary contribution, or purchasing your next License Plate we offer numerous ways to give and support the Hunter.

The Hunter Museum is one of more than 700 organizations across the state that receives support from the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC). Through the specialty license plate program, its primary funding source, TAC has been able to provide significant financial support to the museum since 1967. A specialty license plate costs $35 per year, and you can exchange your current plate for a specialty plate anytime. Please help TAC support the Hunter by purchasing a specialty plate. Every time someone purchases a specialty license plate in Tennessee, 40% of the proceeds from the sale of that plate go directly to TAC. For each sale of an arts-themed specialty license plate, TAC receives 90% of the proceeds!

Corporate partnerships with the Hunter offer members of the business community the opportunity to help maintain a vibrant arts scene in Chattanooga through support of the museum’s exhibitions, permanent collection, and educational programs. We are grateful to our sponsors whose generous financial support enables us to better fulfill the Hunter’s mission to connect people of diverse backgrounds with creativity, knowledge, and ideas.
