Staff Pick: Hunter Mansion

The Hunter Mansion is the core of our museum. It was built in 1905 and became an art museum in 1952. The grand chandelier and staircases are original to the Mansion. Since Mr. Hunter didn’t have an art collection, these historic features and the architectural details throughout the building are what remind us of when this building was his bustling home. I love coming up the stairs and seeing this view–it’s absolutely beautiful.
