Paper Sculptures

Click through the steps in the box and watch the video below to create a paper sculpture.

In 1975, the Hunter Museum commissioned artist Doris Leeper to create the Modular Wall Relief in Eight Colors , a geometric installation made of 160 individual pieces. Using sheets of paper and the instructions below, create geometric paper sculptures you can arrange into your own modular artwork inspired by Leeper’s work.

Fold the paper square in half horizontally.

STEP 3

Fold the paper in half vertically.

STEP 4

Unfold the paper.

STEP 5

STEP 6

Fold the other two corners toward the center.

STEP 7

Flip the paper over.
