Did a recent school trip to the museum inspire your students to create their own artworks? Share them with other museum visitors!
The Hunter offers space to exhibit student work on a monthly basis. The Education Studio Hall Student Gallery contains two horizontal panels (one 33 x 4 ft and one 20 x 4 ft) that can accommodate two-dimensional (flat) works and limited 3-D works that do not project out in excess of six inches.
Each school is responsible for hanging student work in the Studio Hall and taking it down at the beginning and end of each monthly term. The Museum cannot store student work before or after the school exhibition and does not provide materials or supplies for hanging work. Thumbtacks and/or nails are usually sufficient for hanging artwork on the Hall's corkboard walls. Colorful background paper can be added.
Studio Hall exhibitions must have a title panel with the school's name, grades represented and project descriptions, where applicable. Individual artwork labels with student names are optional.
If you are interested in displaying your students' work in the Hunter's Education Studio Hall, please contact Rachel White, the Assistant Curator of Education, at firstname.lastname@example.org, (423) 752-2043 or fill out the Reservation Form below.
