Staff Pick: Francis Luis Mora

As someone who moved and traveled extensively throughout my life, F. Louis Mora’s An Out of Town Trolley resonates on a personal level. I love that when you’re viewing the painting, you’re invited to become one of the passengers on the trolley. I imagine the sounds of the train and the conversations of nearby travelers, and then notice the out-of-town couple staring back at me. Based on their clothing, they are noticeably different from those around them – and, presumably, from me too.
