The Hunter once again partners with Blush magazine to celebrate the art of color. Get into the Spirit and Celebrate with Holidays at the Hunter, November 28 – January 4, 2009
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2008) -- Beginning Friday, November 28th, the Hunter Museum will once again host Holidays at the Hunter. This traditional family event includes a variety of activities from festive music, special programs, holiday shopping in the Museum Store and a special musical performance by the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy beautiful holiday displays and Christmas trees. In the 1960s, the Hunter Museum ushered in the holiday season by showcasing Christmas trees inspired by holiday traditions from around the world, and many Chattanoogans still fondly remember visiting the museum during the that time. While Holidays at the Hunter does not feature trees from around the world, it does offer a look at trees decorated by some of Chattanooga’s best designers.
This year designers include Gil and Curt, Jeffrey’s Flowers, Nell’s, UTC Interior Design Students, Highland Florist, Avery Patten Floral Design and Studio, special effects by Sound Force, Sharon Bass and Carol Ballard Brown. Make plans to stop by and enjoy the sights of the holiday season.
