Chattanooga, TN (July 6, 2015) – The Hunter Museum of American Art has partnered with local deli owner Mindy Benton to open a café at the museum.
“We have frequently been asked by museum visitors to provide food and refreshments, so we are very excited to announce the opening of our museum cafe by Mindy B's Deli, offering our guests an even better museum experience this summer,” said Virginia Anne Sharber, Executive Director of the Hunter Museum. "The Hunter has such a beautiful view for diners to enjoy a casual lunch overlooking the Tennessee River. Folks passing by the museum on the RiverWalk as well as museum guests can pick up lunch at the museum cafe to enjoy in the cafe or on our terrace."
The Hunter Museum Café by Mindy B’s is located off the museum’s 24-hour terrace with views overlooking the Tennessee River. The café will serve a variety of lunch items like salads and sandwiches as well as snacks, treats and drinks for museum visitors, tourists and locals to enjoy. Groups are also welcome to pre-order boxed lunches within 48 hours of their visit.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity to work alongside the Hunter – it’s great to expand our presence beyond the city's business district to the Bluff View district. We look forward to becoming a lunch destination for walkers and workers in and around the Bluff View district,” said Mindy Benton, owner of Mindy B’s Deli and manager of the Hunter Museum Café.
The Hunter Museum Café by Mindy B’s opened to the public Thursday, July 2. Café hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM and Free First Sundays from 12 PM to 2 PM. More information can be found by clicking here.
