About

The Hunter Museum and Lee University are proud to announce the third season of String Theory at the Hunter.

Now in its third year, String Theory at the Hunter is a chamber music series bringing classical music and visual art together for inspiring evenings of artistic expression at the Hunter Museum of American Art.

Founded by pianist, Gloria Chien, String Theory features award-winning artists who are among the most sought-after musicians on stage today. Their shared artistry ensures dynamic musical dialogues and breathtaking performances. The one-hour concerts feature a rich selection of masterpieces as well as rarely heard gems, and honor the Hunter's renowned collection of American Art.

Presenting chamber music in a museum setting has long been a cherished tradition at prestigious institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. In launching this concert series, the Hunter joins their ranks, making the highest quality chamber music available to audiences throughout the Chattanooga area.
