Join us in the Hunter galleries to discuss the community issues that are important to you.
Thanks to a generous invitational grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, we are proud to announce a new series – Art + Issues. These programs feature community grassroots leaders and thinkers guiding participants through dialogues about issues facing our community today.
Facilitators will include representatives from the Chattanooga City Council, La Paz De Dios, the Chattanooga Community Kitchen and the Tennessee River Gorge Trust to name a few.
Each discussion will take place in the Hunter galleries and will be launched by an exploration of a work of art and the way it represents that evening’s selected issue both historically and today. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more from Chattanooga’s leaders and to share their ideas as well.
These conversations will continue online with a new web resource available later this year which will feature videos of the talks and a forum where everyone is welcome to share thoughts and ideas.
Admission to the Art + Issues programs are free.
