Hunter Museum of American Art

For the first Hunter Invitational in 2007, the Museum staff invited seven regional artists to develop a body of work specifically for an exhibition at the Hunter. It gave visitors the opportunity to explore some noteworthy artists in depth, and to learn what artists in our area were concerned with.

The Hunter Invitational 2010 is just as vibrant and includes several artists from the region. The selected artists have been working for a number of years in their chosen mediums and have consistently challenged themselves to be fresh and innovative.
