Teen Night: Digital World, Ancient Sun and Throwback Thursday

This teen night, we’re taking you on a time journey—backward and forward—via the inspiration of our current temporary exhibits:  Under the Mexican Sky: A Revolution in Modern Photography and New Media, New Millennium: Digital Art  from the Thoma Foundation.

Join us in throwing it back to some of the first digital age greats while looking ahead to the possibilities that the future holds. Take a walk through a tangible timeline of photography and technology intertwined, change your voice up like Max Headroom (pre-T-Pain!), snap a photo in a Polaroid booth, light up the night with a lite-brite, search for futuristic clues then #hashtag your discoveries, and more on this tech-inspired teen night.  You won’t want to miss this free teens only event!

Guests of all ages are invited to join us for Throwback Thursday when our permanent collection is free of charge from 4-8 p.m. and our special exhibits are just $5 for adults (FREE for members and children 17 and under). Guests this evening will also be treated to period music in the mansion by musicians from Southern Adventist University from 6-7 pm.

All Throwback Thursdays generously sponsored by Easy Auto. Additional Support from Publix Supermarkets Charities.
