Throughout culture we are bombarded with actions, words, images all embedded with messages on race, sex and meaning. Whether intentional or inadvertent, these messages leave marks defined by our individual frames. Join spoken word artist, poet, musician and educator Christian Collier as he explores the marks left in the paintings of Gajin Fujita to explore the deeper meaning of the marks we find and the ones we leave ourselves.
Collier is a 2015 Loft Spoken Word Immersion Fellow, made possible by by a major grant from the Surdna Foundation and by the generous support of Loft members (www.christianjcollier.com).
