Today our artful yoga session is in conjunction with national slow art day, as we slow our pace and explore centering for body mind and soul. Popular yoga instructor Kyle House of Thrive Studio and Hot Yoga Plus joins us again, and this time he is joined by Julian King, a DJ also known as Vata, who will be spinning original music created for this event. Once again we will have a guided slow looking at a two pieces from our Smithsonian show led by a Hunter curator, Kyle and Julian to explore the way we must go beyond external chaos to find harmony and peace from within. Then we'll take this inwardness as a way to set our mood for practice in which movement, sound, vision and spirit join in a special sound-enhanced yoga practice in the lobby (or outside, weather depending).
Open to all levels, participants must bring own mat as the Hunter does not own mats. Registration not required, simply sign up when you come in on that day.
