Museum volunteers are an important part of the Hunter Museum of American Art. The primary goals of our volunteer program are to provide exciting and interesting service work, allow volunteers to feel involved, learn new skills and experience social interaction.
Our volunteer program has a wide variety of job opportunities and flexible work schedules. You can find volunteers in the Museum's front office and library, organizing the archives, helping with a membership mailings, giving tours, gardening, greeting visitors, assisting staff, helping with summer camp, organizing and coordinating fundraisers.
Becoming a museum volunteer can be a rewarding and enriching experience. The job opportunities aretailored to fit each volunteer’s interests and time commitment. Having fun, gaining experience, and helping a good cause are all good reasons to volunteer at the Hunter Museum of American Art.
For more information on the Hunter’s volunteer program please email Eileen Henry Haun or call her at 423-752-2045.
