Available Internship Opportunities
Intern in Children and Family Programs
The Children and Family Programs internship is available during spring and summer semesters. Family program interns report to the manager of multimedia interpretive programs and assist her in preparing lesson plans and activities for several children's programs. Summer interns will also assist with Hunter summer camps.

Interpretive Intern
The ideal applicant is a college junior or senior with a major in art history, or a graduate with an art history degree, who has experience doing research and writing about art. This position will be responsible for working with the Curator of Education to develop short entries on the website for all works of art in the collection. Some of the work would need to take place at the Hunter but some could be done at home. Can be done for university credit in accord with individual university guidelines.
Availability: variable, ideally about 10 hours per week in summer

Museum Store Volunteer/Intern
Need college junior or senior for a weekend internship (Saturday: 11:00 - 4:00 and Sunday: 1:00 - 4:00). This position would be an excellent opportunity for a student with an interest in retail management or the hospitality industry. Need someone to make a regular commitment to this job.
Duties:
Keep an eye on the store when busy.
Help store associate wrap/bag purchases.
Go to stock room for merchandise requested by sales associate.
Assist customers with merchandise.
Open locked display cabinets for customers.
Training:
Will train on merchandise and stock room, but volunteer will need to review store merchandise on each shift.
Job Requirements:
Will need to be comfortable interacting with the public. Uphold Museum Standards. Wear tag that says VOLUNTEER.
Dress Code:
Corporate casual. No blue jeans, capris, or flip flop type sandals. One red polo shirt can be provided.
